It's not clear the basis for saying Smith will be the best LB on the field.  My scout favored Kalambayi before the Sc breakout. "Smith has a great feel for the game, but Kalambayi is a freak and carries more weight much better.  He's an Alabama linebacker playing in the Pac 12."

And he likes your guy Redfield much more than you do, although your guy is young and still developing. 

In balance, the talent may be a near-wash but Stanford has the one big playmaker.  But it's mostly going to be a punting, field position, and field goal game.  I give you three points on field goals just to start; your guy is automatic and ours is not.
