Exactly. Dropping 8 is fine and did serve us well for stretches of the game. But on 4th and long on a short field, dropping 8 against a somewhat shaky QB who has been skipping balls to his receivers is not the way to go. Against Peyton? Sure, a big blitz will get you killed. Against Golson, even if he gets flushed from the pocket, it's unlikely he'll be able to run for the first since the secondary is not that deep due to the short field.
