That was one of the best offensive performances by MBB in recent memory. Everyone except Nastic had a hot hand.Â
Of course, we're not going to shoot 70% on 3 pointers every night, which means we'll have to rely on our defense more. And that has me worried. UNLV missed a lot of open shots.Â
The current Pomeroy rankings have us 11th in offense (probably inflated by the last game) and 95th in defense (not impressive at all given our opponents so far).
Anyway, I'm not optimistic about tonight, but I'm looking forward to seeing how we do against a top-tier opponent.
