Merry Christmas 8). And in that spirit, here's a nice article on David Shaw by John Reid, whoever that is.

John Reid is a longtime local sports writer who does it the right way.  He actually attends quite a few high school games of all sports, boys and girls, and then writes articles that are quite detailed.  Also does a number of Stanford sports besides basketball and football.  And, his level of snarkiness is way below that of the other, more well-known local sports writers.
