No no no.  The mid-90's teams with Kate Starbird, Jamila Wideman, Naomi Mouitaopele (sp?), Olimpia Scott, Vanessa Nygaard, and later Kristin Folkl were some of the best teams we had until our current run (of course, we won two national championships in the early 90's, but that was before my time).  We went to three consecutive final fours in 95, 96, and 97, until we suffered two ACL tears in the span of 1 week before the 98 tournament, taking out Folkl and Nygard. After that we suffered a bit of a swoon until the Powell/Wiggins/Appel/Ogwumike(x2) resurgence.
