He takes bad angles and lowers his head too far away from the call carrier. I didn't really see enough of his coverage skills to judge him on that, but shouldn't we be getting someone else in there?
Hmmm.
I didn't notice Lloyd that much in this game, will have to look more carefully on the tape when I get a chance.
Overall, I thought the coverage was rather decent for a backfield that is new this year other than Harris. There were a couple of times our DB didn't manage to make a play on the ball, and a couple of times we got baffled on the back-shoulder throw, but in general Falk was completing passes into small windows. There were a few lapses in tackling, though that seemed worse on run plays than passes - but a couple of outs that gained quite a bit more than they should have.
The bigger problems, I thought, were that we gave WSU 14 drives (second highest on the season to UCLA where we just kept scoring too quickly), and for a long stretch in the middle of the game our pressure disappeared. That was during the stretch that WSU scored on six successive drives. [Though to be fair, the first of those six scores was an excellent stand after the Hogan INT on our own 29 yard line.]
