Given uncertainty with Lili gone from the team and a few others recovering from injuries, happy to see a long homestand to break ourselves into the season.

It's too early for rankings, but from the "Way Too Early Rankings" published by ESPN last April, the ranked teams I see on our schedule are
#6 Texas
#11 Tennessee
And that is it.
That seems an easier non-conference schedule than typical for Stanford.
Also in that ranking were
#10 Stanford
#9 UCLA
#16 ASU
#22 UW
#24 OSU
Presumably indicating a somewhat harder in-conference schedule than in most recent years.

The two toughest opponents are the two T's -- at home against Texas on Nov. 14 and at Tennessee on Dec. 18. Otherwise, besides the visit to Erica's father's team -- CSU Bakerfield on Dec. 1 and the tournament in Cancun over Thanksgiving, nothing really stands out. With our returning starters, even without Lili and Kailee, we should go 11-2 or 12-1.
No UConn again this year, which makes 2 years in a row. Does this mean an end to the annual series between Van Dervereer and Auriemma? Is there any animosity between the two camps?

Purdue took us to overtime last year on a neutral court. The new official website seems to have eliminated all the links to the boxscores of historical games, unfortunately, so I can't look it up as easily as I would like to remind me what happened. But Purdue will be the equivalent of an average Pac 12 team, at the very least.
We could be relying very very heavily on some talented frosh, so I think a lighter than usual preseason may be just what the doctor (Tara) ordered. This is a year in which the team in March could be almost unrecognizable compared with the team in November.Â

Here's the link to the Purdue box score from last season:

A brief glance shows that we shot poorly, but was saved by a big FT advantage, not only doubling the amount of times we got there, but converting all but one of our opportunities once there.
