Indeed! I think it stems from the fact that two things are obvious. 1) USC just isn't that great (or has a great collection of talent that isn't being coached all that well) and 2) We have room for improvement. As I said, USC just strikes me as a lower-tiered bowl team (Las Vegas or Sun) who seems destined to a 7-5 season, while we have our eyes on a bigger prize.
