I'm holding off on a prediction until there's a better handle on injuries, but I see a game in the 20's.  I thought the offense looked a bit better against UDFG than it had the previous two weeks, but it will have to cut back on mistakes (untimely penalties, turnovers, hitting the uprights on field goals) to beat Colorado.  Our defense looked much better, but to a degree UDFG hurt itself.  Colorado is better than Votre Dame, by a lot, but we will be at home and I'm hoping for an upward trajectory.

I think having Meeks back in the lineup makes a very significant difference to our defense and the team as a whole. I was very impressed that we held Notre Dame to 10 points at home in good weather conditions.

If we win this game, we regain a lot of swagger and the team has a good chance to finish the season 10 - 2.  Not bad for a rebuilding year.

I think it helps that Colorado has played: Colorado State, Idaho State, Oregon, Oregon State, and Arizona State.

Against Michigan and USC, they put up 28 and 17 points respectively.  The 28 against Michigan are impressive given that the Wolverines are tops in scoring defense at 10 per game, but 17 points is actually fewer than USC has given up on the season (24) on average.

Colorado State (75th at 29 ppg), Idaho State (FCS), Oregon (125th at 42 ppg!), Oregon State (88th at 31 ppg), and ASU (106th at 34) all have rather porous defenses, to say the least.

We will be the second best scoring defense Colorado faces at 35th overall with 22 ppg, notwithstanding the debacles against the Washington schools.  So, I think predicting the Colorado score to fall in the 20's is reasonable, as long as our corners are up to the task.
