Can I just say that a couple years into the David Lombardi experience at ESPN, he has really grown on me.  I was one of his harshest critics, because I thought he was too full of himself, too sure of his opinions, didn't bring enough evidence to support his conclusions, and his writing was just... not good.  Since that time, I feel he has mellowed out quite a bit and has actually brought in a degree of subtlety and thought that his early writings didn't have.  It has been nice to see his evolution as he's grown into his role at ESPN.
