Well, it seems less likely that UCLA will win games without Rosen. I would doubt he'll keep his job as a sympathy move because he didn't have his best QB.
And I rather disagree with the idea that would likely be a Stanford positive.

I assume you mean because he's likely to stay through his senior year now rather than go pro a year early, not that he's likely to get a medical red shirt, right? He played in 6 games so there's no way he's below the 30% threshold to qualify.

Is it his throwing shoulder that's injured? If so, I don't think any team is going to risk drafting him in the first two or three rounds.

FWIW, the LA papers seem to think he is a slam dunk first round pick.
(If he comes back next year and doesn't show any ill effects of the injured shoulder I wouldn't think it would matter).

I don't remember well enough to say for sure which shoulder it is, but I recall seeing the replay of the injury and I'm pretty sure it's obvious from that replay which shoulder it is.

Not sure what Rosen's thought process will be, he has an affluent family and doesn't seem overly motivated by money. But the experience of his fellow SoCal phemom Matt Barkley could lead him to move on to the NFL at the earliest opportunity rather than endure the risk of further injury and diminished prospect status.

Either way he has to play (or sit out) next season before he can declare for the NFL draft, so a lot depends on how his 2017 college season goes.
