There was another thread talking about this, but I thought it deserved its own...
Though it was meaningless in the standings, the Sun Bowl victory gave Stanford a 10-3 season. Stanford has now won 10+ games in 6/7 years. Only Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oklahoma can claim this accomplishment.Â
It makes the fact Stanford is the only one of these programs to not be in the playoff a little frustrating, but nonetheless, it's pretty incredible for a school with Stanford's admissions requirements to do this. I can only wonder how many players on those other four teams could be admitted to Stanford.
