Indoor and Beach Volleyball player is now also on the Track team.  She was about 5th in the nation last year in the javelin in HS.

I can think of 2 other 3 sport athletes 1950 on but believe we have had 5.  Any comments?  I sure can't think of someone doing 2 at the same time, although we shall see at the next Beach match later this week.

I have to imagine there have been indoor track / outdoor track / cross county athletes. I know it's not entirely distinct, but neither is volleyball and beach.

Well good thought Robbie on beach and indoor but at many schools now it's two different sports with different athletes

I would not count track indoor outdoor or XC as anything except one sport

Football and track for Bob And iirc 2 movies.

How about if you lower the bar a little? iirc John Paye was a 3-sport athlete that elected not to play baseball on the Farm. Obviously, lots of 2-sport athletes (many of the football/baseball variety but also a few football/basketball not to mention all the &track students).

I was good at frisbee golf, ping pong, AND Tetris when I was a freshman in Donner. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

I was a three sport HS athlete, but Stanford was a completely different level and my baseball arm was gone by the time I arrived on the Farm  >:(

My favorite two sport star was John Elway and he leveraged his abilities so well when he was drafted.  My roommate, Kevin Scott, was also a two sport athlete in football and track.  He was such a gifted athlete that he almost taught himself how to ski over winter break with us up in Lake Tahoe!  I still tease him about that trip!

Unofficial surveys have been taken of elite American rowers, and the consensus is that the best rowers tended to play other sports either concurrently with or before taking up rowing.  Athleticism is athleticism.

I was on a couple of club sports teams plus a varsity team my soph year--does that count?  :P
