Boy, 1950 was a great year....

1950: The first preseason AP Poll set a tone with two familiar names. No. 1 Notre Dame (x5) stumbled to 4-4-1, and No. 12 USC went 2-5-2 (but beat the Irish).

I prefer outplaying expectations rather than being rated too high.  Sorry.  I grew up watching too many mystifying (or justified) Stanford losses.  Also, for some reason, there seems to be more fun in upsetting game opponents.  USC/Notre Dame/ Kal.  Keep eyes on the prize.
