Even I, a raving liberal hyena, am inclined to acknowledge that Dr. Rice is, in fact, a woman.
I would not find her presence to be a compelling reason to attend Stanford, however.

I don\'t think it\'s so much her presence on campus that\'s compelling. Â The story she tells of Stanford\'s academics and athletics and her advocacy of both, are probably more important. Â For someone with all her perspective and experience to endorse Stanford would mean something special to those who respect her.
