Oregon passed for less than 33 yards against Stanford. If Herbert played, it changes the entire complexion of the game. They probably throw for 200 at least with Herbert playing. Herbert was averaging 10 yd per attempt before he was hurt. The only other truly balanced offensive team Stanford played was USC, to whom they yielded 42 points.

If, and it's a big if, we win out, and stomp an undefeated ND and the pac-12 south champ, I think we'd have to have a shot, especially if Love goes brobdingnagian. But, we need a consistent QB and Love and someone to replace Holder.

Hebert didnt play against Utah either. Oregon got 69yards passing against Utah; I dont think those extra 36 yards accounted for the 42 point difference. The difference was that Oregon got 349 yards rushing against Utah on over 7 ypc.

A balanced Oregon offense would have destroyed Stanford's defense. Stanford is good at stopping one-dimensional offensive teams.

Well, Helinski also threw a really terrible pick, so who knows? I guess he stayed in after the pick. Benching Falk is pretty surprising though.

I find it so hard to judge Mike Leach QBs. They offense manufactures so many short throws that it's hard for me to tell what the quarterback is actually doing.
