(Opponents' averages not adjusted for what we gained against them, I would do that but I don't have excel here, google docs is terrible, and it probably won't make a big difference. Oh, and I counted Rice as a home game since there was almost certainly no crowd advantage for them, and that's what I suspect our issue is.)

In case you're curious, our worst games are ORST, WSU, Utah, and USC, in that order. Oddly our second-best game was SDSU, confirming the CTCard theory of offense that the problem in that game was not running enough.

So if you want to be optimistic about the next few games, just think about them all being at home.

While it's not terribly surprising, because teams play better at home, it's interesting how all the top teams in the conference (Washington, U$C, Wazzu, and Stanford if you want to include us) are undefeated at home, with all their losses coming on the road.
Also interesting is that Wazzu is 8-2, but their two road losses have come by a total of 55 points (to decent but hardly great teams).

Our road performances are so bad that it might warrant a thorough examination of the road trip process.  Something is not working.  It could be the travel schedule, sleep times, the practice times, the food, etc.  Maybe the players have too much free time on the road trip and lose focus.  Maybe they stay up late the night before the game talking to their teammates or texting.  Something is amiss.

The offense is extremely young. Most positions on the offense, especially the line, get better with experience. I think this is like 90% of problems on the road.

It clearly could just be their youth.  Not many players in HS get to play in games that require overnight travel.  I recall some pretty juvenile behavior when my HS FFA judging teams traveled to the state finals in Fresno.

The teams we have lost to on the road are probably the best teams we have played this year ( not sure exactly where to slot SDSU).
