I really like the look and function of the new board, but what do the dreaded red Xs represent?

One other thing that's not so clear: I clicked on "Link to Calendar" and was told that I could not modify "Just any post". Not sure what that means.

Yep, I noticed that, nice design! Makes me want to change my usual pigpen avatar to a frame of sean cattouse falling down.

The new board seems to be working great... I noticed apostrophes being turned into slash-apostrophes... I'm guessing that was a by-product of migration and won't apply to new posts. we'll see when I post this...

Just noticed the sandstone walls. slightly feels like I'm reading a sports screed that someone has nailed up... I think that's a good tone to go for.

I love the sandstone.  While I was up in SJ a couple of weekends ago, I didn't have time to stop by campus, but I did spend a lot of time in the vicinity of the SJ Museum of Art, which looked exactly like a Quad building.  What's it called--neo-Spanish architecture?
