I posted on another board that they have to move the three point line back for the spacing problem.Â
And the coaches know offenses, but the players cant run them. They come through AAU programs that are essentially showcases for individuals, So you get some tremendous athletes, some that are also incredibly skilled but the team concept suffers. So its all transition.
I was angry Xavier lost because I enjoy watching them play. They cut they move without the ball, really have nice ball movement. But the Refs took them right out of the game. Really pathetic.

Is itjust me or am I correct in saying that there has been a ton of truly lousy basketball played in the first couple rounds? That and the typical NCAA over officiating has made for, in my opinion, a lot of bad basketball. There have been some exceptions. But when I have watched not very damn good
Yeah, NCAA basketball has turned very poor -- like what the NBA was around 2000-6 or so. A lot of hacks, poor offense, no movement, etc. A lot of people will blame the one-and-done trend, but I think that has nothing to do with it; there are what, maybe a dozen or so guys a year who spend only one year in college. That doesn't explain it. Instead, I'd point the finger at:
1) the refs, who don't call hand-checking but love to call terrible charges. that biases the game to bad defense
2) the rules: the close three-point line removes spacing and the zoning rules are too loose, which constricts the game
3) the coaches, who seemingly have no idea how to coach offense.
