That story sure puts a different spin on he game, doesn't it?

All the pundits are like "Stanford got lucky." There wasn't a single guy who commented that thought the win was due to anything other than Stanford players refusing to give up and competing their guts out.  Trent Murphy especially, was quite disarming, saying he expected it. 

The thing that makes it more interesting is just how tuned into what is going on within the program these former players are, like being aware of what they go through with Turley. Speaks to a strong culture about and passion for the program that many people may not be aware exists.  Probably helps with recruiting to be honest.

Also, it is consistent with what Shaw reportedly said at halftime; something along the lines of "don't be surprised if midway through the fourth quarter it is a tight game".

All that being said, it still took some Oregon miscues for us to be in a position to tie it.  I mean, we could have done everything "right" in the second half and still been looking at a 34-21 loss.
