the difference between how they played UNC and Kansas was like two different teams played. That's probably a good sign.

I'm excited by yesterday's level of play but I need to see it sustained over 3+ games before I'm going to believe that the program is really headed in a more positive direction. Dawkins' teams had their moments of brilliance but they could never do it with any consistency.

Agreed.  I'm not quite ready to update my priors on the basis of a single game.  But if we have a couple more games like Kansas (resulting in wins against not as elite opponents) I'll become a believer.

My family and I raced home from the Big Game feeling very happy about our win and getting updates on the phone about the hoops game.   I can't believe it wasn't being broadcast on either KZSU or 1050, but maybe it was on another bay area station.

We made it home to watch the last 6-7 minutes of regulation. Yes, Vick was on fire, but the team recovered the lead and to the comments of others, should have won this game in regulation.   Okpala was in position to block or foul Vick, but was very conservative shrinking versus going aggressively for the block.   Like others, I knew we would lose in OT given the location.  

Haase needs to step it up this year and the talent is there to get to the Dance.  If we don't make it, then mark me a disappointed season ticket holder.  Muir's sport is hoops and we need to regain the Maples Magic of times gone by.    This team now knows that they can hang with a top ten program, that's a great start, although the signature win should have been ours.
