Has anyone noted that Ashton broke her hand in their final game of the season?

In other news, the USA basketball 3-on-3 teams to compete for a national championship have been announced. Each team has 4 members to allow for a sub.
Haley Jones is on a strong looking team with some well known players who are going elsewhere. Another team has three Stanford commits.

They did things as frosh that you seldom see in terms of all around defense, quick and sure hands, quick to loose balls, pulling out contested rebounds, fundamentals such as eyes on opponent's waist to gauge where the opponent is going, ability to take defenders on drives if they play tight, good overall shooting from all areas on the court, ability to make assists. Where they need to improve is like one poster said, shoot their arms off in the off season to avoid streaky shooting; and work on their handles so they can penetrate easier.

Blending all these talents will be a major challenge. VanDerveer hasn’t had a team this deep in many years, if ever. She warns not to discount guards Anna Wilson and Jenna Brown and forward Alyssa Jerome. “They’re smart; they’re Stanford students,” she said. “They know it’s going to be very competitive. The returners have a better sense of how hard you have to work to get ready for a Notre Dame or a Baylor. I’m confident the freshmen are going to be in a battle, a big battle.”
Tara is not expecting Wilson or Brown or Jerome to transfer. Who did she not mention? Sniezek, Moschkau, Brewer. Of course, one never knows if the reporter left out things she DID say and made it look like an omission when she may have talked about each and every player. The article does mention Dodson, Fingall, Williams, Carrington, and Hulls earlier.

Well, it is good for WBB, good for her academic degree. And if we found a way to beat them this year, I think we can find a way to beat them next year.
I do confess to thinking and hoping a little that she would leave, but I'm going to be consistent with my principles and praise her for this decision. If Oregon had gone on and won a national championship, I wonder if she would still come back?

In the Baylor game something happened at the end. It’s the time she generally takes over a game but she didn’t. They could have and should have won. But she dissapeared. She had open 3s but didn’t shoot. She seemed scared or tired. She was not fearless. She made several bad passes seeming to want to pass the ball and put the game in someone else’s hands instead her own.
