I think our two top 100 players are Hinkleman, who just looks like a lefty power hitter,
and Gargus. They're PG's two 10.0 rated Stanford recruits.
With four, UCLA is the only Pac 12 team with more top 100s'.
PG also gives a rating of 10 to Brock Jones, our recruit who is also a walk-on candidate for the football team at safety. However, the written praise for Jones doesn't seem quite as effusive as for the other two.

Also of interest, at least to me is a note I heard about Michigan's coach, Erik Bakich, during a replay of their series win over UCLA.
Two years ago when the Stanford coaching search was underway, I had suggested that Bakich would be an excellent candidate for Stanford. He's a pretty young guy (now 41), a Bay Area native (Bellarmine Prep), and has done a great job turning around first Maryland and then the Michigan baseball team. Two years ago, he had just finished taking Michigan to a 42-17 record and their first trip to the tournament in a while.
Anyway, as far as I knew this was only my own idle speculation. During that broadcast the announcers stated (not an exact quotation), "of course Bakich was highly involved in the Stanford search a couple years back that finally settled on Dave Esquer."
Unless these guys read the Cardboard, I guess there was at least rumor along these lines beyond my random speculation.

While it costs money I don't want to spend to see this year's rankings, you can look at PG's rankings for past years for free. Stanford's players were (these are HS rankings, top 500, includes players that went pro):
2018: #57 Brandon Dieter, #187 Grant Burton, #452 Justin Moore
2017: #76 Michael Mercado (signed by Rays), #80 Christian Robinson, #217 Nick Brueser, #333 Zach Sehgal, #343 Austin Weiermiller, #395 Brendan Beck, #464 Carson Rudd
2016: #87 Erik Miller, #108 Daniel Bakst, #112 Andrew Daschbach, #157 Maverick Handley, #219 Jack Little, #265 Jonathan Worley, #348 Kyle Stowers
