Per Shaw.
Looking forward to seeing what Shaw and Co. have done with the #1 QB recruit over the last few years. Go Stanford!

I’m excited! Admittedly, with the exception of the Andrew luck years, I am always in favor of The QB On The Bench. Nevertheless, I think this is going to be an unveiling.

So Costello gets to miss at least a game and a half and the asshat that gave him the cheap shot gets to play on. Way to go Big 10 officials. Way to protect players NCAA. I'm pissed!
Put a glide in your stride and a dip in your hip.

Right to be angry. But I think the review official was PAC-12. How one could watch that and not call targeting is beyond me.

nope
"Brown was neither flagged for targeting nor ejected, two more serious penalties that could have been applied from upstairs by the Big Ten replay crew.
Play was not stopped for an official review from the instant replay booth. The fact that Brown brought his forearm down on what appeared to be the neck and chin of Costello did not sway the 10 Big Ten officials -- eight on the field and two in the booth."

Well, the forearm swayed Costellos neck.

I stand corrected. Thanks. BTW replay and field in an intersectional game between teams from two P-5 conferences should always be split. That just makes sense

Not quite sure what that means.
He didn't seem to have any other kind of injury, and he's not playing today.
Based on how Costello's neck moved during the hit, strained neck is a possibility. Looked like his neck hyper-extended. Neck injuries can cause problems all over.
