are out (ITA tennis rankings). I don't think they actually mean anything other than fodder for fan discussion, but I don't know. While we are awaiting Colorado Tree's usual detailed and insightful analysis, I thought I'd just relay that we have 6 ranked players(!) including Michaela Gordon (#6), Emily Arbuthnott (#30), Janice Shin (#60), Emma Higuchi (#78), Sarah Choy (#87), Niluka Madurawe (#93). That's the good news. (I still haven't wrapped my mind around not having Lord/Lampl this year. Sigh.) Unfortunately, North Carolina, who we defeated in the championship match last year, lost only their #5 singles player from last year, and has 3 players ranked in the top 7.
