I fail to see what's goofy about that play: Cattouse just lost, no gimmicks involved. I suppose he's just rationalizing.

The thing is, the play really says nothing negative about Cattouse, only positive things about Luck. Most quarterbacks run for extra yardage, and then slide to end the play without getting hurt. Andrew runs 58 yards and knocks defensive players in the process. People talk about quarterbacks with linebackers' mentalities, but Luck truly does play like a linebacker.

Of course, it doesn't help that Cauttouse sounds a little like the first two syllables of contusion!

Luck was really aided by the fact that Cattouse was running the same general direction as Luck as their paths intercepted.  He was still moving with Luck or had just barely stopped when Luck hit him.  If Cattouse had been squared up and turned around,  the highlight moment might not have happened.

But...he wasn't squared up and ended up on his keister.
