I really hope that we see more of Wilkerson this season. Taylor's as reliable as they come, but he's not even close to Wilkerson in pure talent and athleticism. If Wilkerson can figure out the blocking, improve his ball security and mentally immerse himself in the game/playbook, he could be one of the finest backs in the country.

If Gaffney really is as fast as they claim in the article, I hope we see more of him, too. I always thought of him as a power back with good but hardly great speed.

I always thought of Gaffney as a finesse runner because he is not as big as Wilkerson or Taylor.

I would like to see more of Stewart. He has a combination of speed and power.
Wilkerson was very good last year even though he had a limited number of carries.

Actually they are all within shouting distance of each other in size, at least if you believe the roster weights.

Taylor is listed at 208, Gaffney at 216, Wilkerson at 220.

I certainly would never describe the way Gaffney runs as finesse, but as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I love 'em all, but if I gotta choose, I'm on Team Wilkerson. That guy has some serious quicks, and he looks as hard to bring down as Toby. I loved the way we wore down defenses with our running game. Looking forward to doing more of that this year...

Wilkerson just looks like he should be the best runner--he's so smooth, he has good acceleration and good top-end. Looks can be deceiving, but when he runs he looks absolutely convincing...then you look at his statistics and think, "Oh, pretty good...but not as good as I thought with the naked eye."

Probably just a freshman thing. I think his upside is the biggest of any of the running backs we've seen competitively--though who knows, maybe Young or Wright has something to show us.

I think it's just a numbers thing. When he's only getting ten carries a game, it's hard for him to build any type of a flow. He passes the eye test now, and I'm thinking that if he starts getting more carries, the numbers will come. I'm firmly on Team Wilkerson as well.

Someone else in my college fantasy league drafted Stepfan, so here's hoping for RBBC, fresher legs from all Stanford runners, and as much help as Andrew Luck can get.  How ironic would it to have Luck's numbers go down simply because the Stanford run game was so good?  (That would be natl-championship-worthy good.)
