What is the name of that #7 player ?

That’s Toby Gerhart.  Ten years ago, today, he ran over, under, and through Notre Dame for 205 yards on 29 carries and three touchdowns (he also threw a touchdown pass), and Stanford won 45-38, with a 10-play, 72 yard drive to score the winning touchdown with a minute left, capped off with a 4 yard touchdown run where Notre Dame just let him score in order to try to get the ball back. Gerhart carried the ball seven times on that drive for 54 yards, including that iconic carry in which he destroys a poor Notre Dame DB.

I must say that I am deeply impressed with ND's #4 and his grit in coming up and trying to deliver a blow.  However, it just makes the awesome power of Toby's running more apparent.  We do not have a runner with that kind of power now.  CMac and BLove had power far in excess of what you would expect considering their size, but Gerhardt was a true beast.  I was very surprised that he did not do better in the pros.
