Dawkins has not had a good year at UCF, but he has gone into OT on the road at Cincy tonight.

Speaking of ex-coaches, just caught the end of a painful-to-the-eyes kal@WSU game - did not realize Trent Johnson is now on the Kal staff.... ?

He is listed as Deputy Analyst & Director of Player Development.
He hired Fox as an assistant when Johnson was head coach at Nevada; apparently Fox has returned the favor.

But Cal has 4 actual coaches (https://calbears.com/sports/mens-basketball/coaches ) not counting Johnson. We have 4 coaches and a director of player development, too. I'm guessing this is a common strategy to get around the limits?

Apparently not being one of the 4 coaches, he can't directly provide "technical or tactical" instruction to the athletes, can't assist in making tactical decisions on court during practices or games, and can't recruit off-campus. So I guess mainly extra strategic help for the coaches, which could include scouting reports, game-planning, past-game analysis, etc. So mainly film study and participating in coaches' meetings, but who knows whether that's adhered to.
