Does anyone in their heart of hearts truly believe - not just hope - Stanford will beat Colorado?

If Stanford wasn’t considered an NCAA tournament team before beating Utah, they aren’t considered one after beating them when expected to do so. It’s all about beating the Buffs now. I don’t believe that alone will get Stanford in, but it at least keeps the dream alive in Oregon.

We were up 15 in Boulder until Oscar got hurt. We can beat them at home.

From all I have heard the place will be sold out!  Hope it is really rocking like in the Monty days.

Not a fantastic game but solid.  I'll take it.

Changing the subject a bit, last night featured maybe the two worst foul calls I've seen this season (and I've watched every P-12 game I think).

In the first half, Davis had a fast break, and Rylan Jones jumped directly in front of him and could not have been "set" for more than a few hundredths of a second, if even that.  Davis got called for the foul of course, his second, and he sat for about 10 minutes of game time.  In the second half, Wills was clearly stopped well in advance of a driving Utah player, drew significant contact (not a flop), and got called for a block, giving Utah a three-point play. 

If Utah had hit a couple more shots down the stretch, those two calls might have cost us the game.  I don't think the refs are biased against us, but these awful calls happen every single game.  Really, the game happens too fast for refs to see everything.  It's time for video reviews in college basketball (preferably done in a central office so you take away the tendency for refs to not want to overturn their own calls).

Yeah, those were bad calls and clearly wrong.  There are always going to be tough calls and debatable ones that go against Stanford.  It's the obviously wrong calls that just flat suck.  Those were two of them (the Law Hill block of a UCLA player's shot has to be Top 5 in that category for men's hoops).  McLean - who is an excellent color commentator, btw - handled it very well (and his messaging was clear) when saying, after the replay review, "let's just move on."  And he did that for both of those heinous calls.

Sunday's game against Colorado is enormous . . . and yes, it's winnable, particularly if Wills is good to go.

I like McLean, but JB Long irritates me greatly no matter what the sport, because he broadcasts as if he's a radio announcer: telling me what I am seeing with my own eyes. Don't want or need that.

We played Wed night, while Buffs had to wrestle with @CAL on THURSDAY, and lost by 14 with Bears bombing from outside.  That extra day of rest matters, particularly with the altitude at Maples...
