Two recent losses to non-league opponent (and #5 ranked) Lewis, both matches going to four sets. Stanford looked a little better against Lewis each time, with one not-so-good set in each match. I think they're developing.
The MPSF season resumes against undefeated and #2-ranked BYU on March 13 at Maples Pavilion. BYU dominated the first match, 12, 21 and 22 before 5,800 fans in Provo less than two weeks ago. Stanford had 40 collective errors, BYU just 19. They play very efficient ball. Will probably be the best team to play at Stanford all year, so if you only see one match, this would be the one.
