Not that my opinion is apparently valued, but Spunky, the original therapy kitten, is probably pretty safe, as she's an indoor cat. That said, Spot, our dog, doesn't practice social distancing during our walks and could bring the virus home with him. Though I've not yet heard that sniffing one's butt can transfer the virus, you never know. Then again, playing fetch with your dog in a public place has been banned in our county, so who knows what's right.

Thanks for the concern. I don't know what I'd do without Spunky or Spot these days.

Now that I am thinking of it, maybe your dog's behavior is a ploy to get you to get COVID-19 so you can transmit it to your cats.  OTOH, I don't think dogs are capable of being that evil; that would be a very cat-like scheme.

Dogs catch coronaviruses by investigating other dogs' stool. I have not seen any reports that dogs catch this particular coronavirus.

Spots been gregarious from day one. That said, it's been a tough transition for him adding a kitten to the mix, especially one that thinks everything, especially anything that moves, is a playtoy to be attacked. Perhaps the friendliness is a facade and he's getting really annoyed. . . .
