Well, in California, it would appear to be close to "not found". It would appear these are state level numbers only, based on California saying they want 20000. It may be with county level people included we are in much better shape. If we are really at < 20% of what the minimum staff should be at this late date, a) We aren't going to be ready to relax restrictions until ??? and 2) Many heads should roll at both the state and county level. "They" have had adequate time to staff up. There was no uncertainty about the need to do so, so it can't be said they didn't know. If they weren't going to be ready because of budgets or whatever else, transparency was required. They needed to say so. If they weren't going to be ready for "the dance", many will (rightly) question the application of the hammer, and for sure will rebel against it's continued application.
