In addition, he was only the second most extreme voter this week. San Francisco columnist continues to join him in the Top 10, at No. 7. Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News was the most extreme voter and was voted the worst voter last week.

The computers will not be friendly to Stanford either.

Stanford needs to win at least as impressively as Boise State and hope for Oklahoma to fall.  But it should all be fine as long as the wins keep coming.  My guess is that the SEC champ will be in the BCS game, and that the SEC will get two BCS invites.  So it almost does not matter what happens in the SEC.  Stanford is in the running for the non-SEC slot in the title game and one of the non-SEC at-large bids.  I just hope the other conferences spread their losses.

Winning big, winning pretty and getting local support will become critical.  It was nice to see 50,000+ in the stands.  Now we just need our local media to give at least as much Stanford and Luck love as media types from cities with bad NFL teams.

I can't really argue with the fact that our schedule's been somewhat soft to date and will continue so for the next couple of weeks.  We need to roll up some big wins against lesser opponents, then if we can win over UW, Oregon, and USC we'll be just fine.  That'll be a tough assignment but we're capable.

On the other hand, Wisconsin's schedule has been ridiculous up until this last weekend, but they had a very impressive win over Nebraska.  Maybe Nebraska's not that good - we'll find out.

It's nice to see that the supposed "cupcakes" we have played earlier have continued to win. Duke and SJSU are much better than people thought so those wins are becoming more important to our rankings/ratings each week.
