As of right now, Stanford reportedly does not have clearance from local officials for more than two players to touch the ball on any given play.

Of course, this is nonsensical, and I expect the restrictions to be loosened by October based on daily rapid testing. But it's fun to think of what our offense might be able to run within the current restrictions, if they applied to games.
1st down - Wildcat to Austin Jones
2nd down - Direct Snap to Conor Wedington on the End-Around
3rd down - Swinging Gate to Nathaniel Peat
4th down - Ogre formation. Davis Mills on the keeper! First down!
But the offense is soon stymied, as the defense begins to key on whoever touches the ball first.
Post-game presser - "It just comes down to our lack of execution."
Quote:The 49ers open at home next week in Levi’s Stadium, but 15 minutes up the freeway, Stanford lacks the clearance to have more than two players touch the ball on any given play (i.e., no center-quarterback exchange before a pass).
