I assume a video coordinator does not fall under the job description of coach. It says she assists in recruiting players. She can't correspond directly with potential recruits, can she? For example, ask them for video or assist a possible recruit in making a video?

In basketball news, do we know if Haley Jones is close to 100%. What are the initial reports on the frosh, particularly Cam? If she can find some playing time, Jana is my vote for the sleeper of the year pick. Rounding out the frosh, I'd love to hear what sort of skill set Agnes has and whether this year is a development year or if she is ready to fight for some PT.
With the other players, we mostly know what to expect, unless Fran has dramatically added to her offensive arsenal. Looking forward to some positive surprises. Three years ago, I was projecting this year's team as one that would play for the national championship. Then again, I did not expect we would lose Maya.
Should be a fun year!

I am eager to learn more about improvements by our returners and the abilities of our frosh. It always makes this time of year intriguing, and often strengths emerge where you don't expect them, and unfortunately the reverse is also true. But the inability to get much intel due to Covid is going to make the first televised contests particularly interesting. When will we have a schedule of some sort or another?

I would imagine the league schedule is done with the 22 games home and away for all
The problem is non league. Three games allowed. However both the WCC and Mountain West have released their schedules starting a month after the Pac 12.

So do we still need to subscribe to a service that offers the Pac12 Network to watch any basketball games? I'm with Uverse and they dropped the Pac12 Network. I wish they would just offer a streaming service.

Our depth is awesome plus we still have three point guards. SAd for Jenna and her development

Sad to hear about Jenna's injury as I too think she was poised for a breakout year. I think this means that Wilson becomes the primary backup PG with Van Gytenbeek competing for time if she can pick up the offense quickly.
This is going to be an interesting year with so few seniors and juniors playing. Luckily, all seven underclass-women are extremely talented. One thing we learned from last year is that all four freshmen found ways to contribute immediately. I have the feeling that our 3 current freshmen will find ways to do the same.

It is so exciting to know the team is back together and that we will actually see some games.
Jake is the best! I always enjoy his stories, and he gets access to Tara and the team more effectively than other reporters.
But does anyone know what happened to Jenna? Or just another season-ending undisclosed injury? I too thought she had the potential to play a lot of minutes. All she needed was a consistent mid range jump shot, and that is the kind of thing that a player could practice during Covid. Such a shame.

You're right, I forgot Wilson was coming back.
From what I've seen, Wilson doesn't really play the point -- on offense. She sure plays the point on defense, though. Same as Lacie. Looks like the three points on offense would be Williams, Jones and Van Gytenbeek in that order. When Jones plays the point on offense, she'll need someone else to play it on defense. I'm also guessing Jones will start at the 4.

Great points kencard. Wilson might be the 4th option at Point.
Changing the subject except it’s WBB oh that’s Geno
