Man, this has just been a lousy year in terms of good people dying. RIP, Mr. Trebeck. Not sure how to put that in the form of a question.

I am part of a community of Jeopardy contestants and aspiring contestants (including me, I am currently in the contestant pool). The admiration, love and respect among my friends for Alex Trebek is universal. I never met him personally but have been in the studio to watch tapings maybe a dozen times and have had a chance to watch him interact with the production crew, the contestants and the audience. He was genuine and a professional in the highest sense of the word. What made him special was the respect and regard that he had for the material, the contestants and the Jeopardy fans as well. We will not see his like again.
