PAC 12 likes to make life difficult for itself? With the loss of the holiday, sun, Las Vegas and likely LA bowl, the rule is likely a moot point.

Unfortunately, the tie-breakers don’t favor us for the North title.  Oregon would have to win next week, which would mean they’d be 2-0 against Stanford and Washington, resulting in their winning the North. Record amongst the tied teams comes before division record, which would favor Stanford.  

We were eliminated last week when UW scored with 0:30 remaining to beat Utah.  Had UW just lost that game, all we’d need is for UW to beat Oregon next week and we’d otherwise control our own destiny with a win over ORST. We even would have been okay if Oregon beat Cal today in this scenario.  All three 2-loss teams would be 1-1 against each other, but Oregon’s losses would be in the division, so that would throw out Oregon.  And then we’d have the advantage over UW based on our head-to-head win. What might have been...
