DTR had 9 rushed for 46 yards (5.1 ypc), though I think that includes one sack.

He ran for three first downs. Lost a bunch of yards on the sack. Even the inane color guy wondered why Stanford had no spy on him. Is your nickname Sam?

I’m not Sam. But does Stanford have any linebacker or safety remotely fast enough to handle DTR. A bad spy is no use.....

Equally important is that Stanford's defense had trouble stopping the run with all 11 players participating. If one man is dedicated to spying the QB, we are down to 10. Not going to work.

No ILB our defense is fast enough to spy Davis Mills, let alone DTR. (Maybe Tristan Sinclair, but obviously that wasn't an option.)
