IMO it doesn't really matter this season if Stanford doesn't get a #1 regional seed.  If there was one dominant team that you wanted to avoid until the final four it would matter.  But there is no dominant team.  Stanford will have to scout and match up against whatever teams they face up against in the tournament.

This is why I think  having a loss is actually a good thing so the team doesn't subconsciously get complacent.  The team now knows if they don't bring their best game they will get beat.
