Totally agree, a great article. Voepel is a terrific writer and for this one, she had a really meaty topic to cover. I'm really proud of this team, how it's dealt with an experience that could have turned out very differently. And now that they are home and can really practice properly and then play on a floor they are familiar with, baskets and backboard they understand, I'm looking forward to great leaps forward. It is amazing that they have played as well as they did on the "forever" road trip.

I have wanted us to get another national championship for so long now, but if we are able to pull it off this year, it might be the most impressive national championship every won by any WBB team any time. And this article shows why. The obstacles that our team has had to overcome are so daunting, and our players and coaches have handled them so well. I just hope that all of that exceptional discipline shown by our team pays off with the ultimate reward. They deserve it.

Also impressive is the lack of positive Covid tests of any player (?) during this time, and no games had to be postponed due to us.
