Avery Jackson (paired with Sarah Wood) continues to compete at the FISU World Beach Championships in Portugal.
Thursday and Friday they won all three of their pool matches, dropping only one set. They also won their round-of-32 match.
Today they will play a round-of-16 match at 4pm local time.

FISU = International University Sports Federation. At this beach championships event, they also have tournaments for: beach soccer (heard of it before); beach handball (new to me); and beach wrestling (???).
ETA: They beat Lithuania 21-13, 21-11, and will be in the quarterfinals (tomorrow, I assume).
ETA2: They lost to a Czech team, 21-13, 21-19. (ETA3: The Czech twins who used to be at Texas.)
