Rachel Heck was the medalist at yesterday's US Women's Open at Marin CC and has qualified for the tournament, being held at Olympic. She joins teammate Aline Krauter who qualified automatically by winning the R&A Women's Amateur last year. I don't have word on whether any of the other members of the team have qualified. Some qualifiers have yet to be played.

Heck and Krauter will be getting an extra practice round on Wednesday when Stanford, Cal, USF, and UC Davis play in an exhibition event.

Heck seems ready now. She shot 66 at Olympic today in the college showcase among Stanford, Cal, Davis and USF. Englemann was -3 over the final 12 holes to finish at even par 71. Seay struggled. But maybe the course was not a good fit for her game. It played very long, over 6600 yards.
