Another bandleader (drum major) later was a guy named Jim Jett. Serious acrobat. Definite crowd-pleaser. These were games followed by late afternoons at the Oasis, or Zott's, or The Goose. Good times. Good teams, too (Walsh 1). Tunes: "Beginnings", "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing" "Uncle John's Band", "25 or Six to Four" (Chicago), "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is"...And, of course, the mythical No Host Cocktail Party at Rickey's Hyatt House, theoretically attended by alums from that week's opponent. First drum-major whose name I remember was Geordie Lawry.
Then there was the tribute to Carol Doda with the dancing Tubas to provide the finishing touch. Hilarious. Can’t remember the year.
