Recorded All Things Great and Small last night, will be much more entertaining than an SEC crowning.

Not that I've watched much of it, what I've seen is like watching paint dry. At least ESPN is getting what they deserve. . . .

I think this was a great National Championship game.  Two strong defenses slugging it out.  I loved seeing Georgia bounce back from their humiliating loss in the SEC Championship to beat Coach Darth Vadar's big bad Bama.  I also loved seeing Stetson Bennett get the win instead of the chosen-one Voldemort winner.  I don't feel bad for Saban, he has had his titles.

I watched maybe 10 minutes of the game, but I knew it was very bad for Alabama when Jameson Williams (sp) went down. Would have liked to have seen him healthy for four quarters.

Injuries marred this game for me, so not quite a classic.

(BTW, the last few minutes of Chargers-Raiders in regulation was the most epic stretch of football I've seen in months. Truly remarkable, with a number of fourth down conversions by the chargers. It's a shame that the NFL will have its playoffs missing Herbert and Lamar Jackson, two guys I'd pay to see play. Instead, we get old Big Ben and Carr. Not a fair trade for this casual fan.)

Thanks for the condolences. My wife turned the game off about halfway through the 4th, sensing impending doom. I was banished early for, yet again, allegedly rooting against the Tide (I merely questioned a call or two that went in favor of the Tide. Heresy! Life in an SEC family). As I've stated earlier, I've never thought much of Young. Last year, I loved Jones. This year, God help me, I enjoyed Bennett's story, though he could go without the Roman numerals.
