They are not playing like a team that is going to make a run at anything this season. In 10th place out of 15 teams after 2 rounds. They are tied for 2nd in total birdies. Too many bogeys and even bigger numbers otherwise. Thorbjornsen is tied for 4th but he is not getting much help.

My thoughts exactly. I can tell you that nothing frustrates Coach Ray more than "doubles and others." Even Thorbjornsen has had two doubles. He'd be one shot off the lead if those were bogies.

Could be worse though. Could be #2 ASU who's in 14th place...

Stanford finished 11th out of 15 teams. None of the other players finished in the top 25 and only one other player finished in the top half of the field.

Thorbjornsen is playing great but if this team is going to go anywhere he's going to have to get more support from the rest of the lineup.

That's right and he had the best round of the week on the final day. However, this week was in Mexico, which is why I bring up the potential travel restrictions. Is Vilips allowed by the Australian government to travel anywhere he wants, or did they place a limit on him to only come to the US? I don’t think the Australian government can restrict where he goes (just whether he can go back to Australia, which they have just relaxes).

If he hadn't play any events I might tend to agree with you, but he played on the roster just a week ago but didn't make the roster before or after. If it were COVID he'd have to have had it twice I think.

But one guy isn't going to make the whole difference the team needs. They need three solid guys and right now they only have one. I also wonder what's going on with Barclay Brown. He was on GB&I's Walker Cup team.
