Personally, I think Whalen\'s  come-back block that just destroyed a USC player and set the tone for their butt whipping told me all I needed to know about about Ryan,  but the story tells you how he changed from a WR with no Pac-10 offers.

My grandson played against Ryan in high school and thought he was awesome. Sounds as if he\'s just gotten awesomer since he got to Stanford.

Yeah he\'s smart and well-rounded, but he is above all a football player, and a tough, hard working one at that.
