This makes our victory in South Bend that much more surprising. Or maybe Clemson isn't all that good. The next 3+ games will tell.
Only 4 unbeaten teams left in the country: Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and TCU.

This year he is benefiting from a pretty good defense that he inherited from the previous regime. This is his year to make hay, because if history is a guide the defense will go downhill fast. He may have developed the sense to find a good DC and let him do his thing, but recruiting defense requires a focus that I see no way Dykes can bring. Now or never IMHO.(11-06-2022, 08:07 AM)lex24 Wrote:(11-06-2022, 02:39 AM)Austroturf Wrote: The surprising thing is that Notre Dame throttled Clemson. Yes, quite a surprise. Last year, TCU jettisoned their "winningest coach ever", Gary Patterson, who many among the TCU faithful considered in the saddle for life. Clearly, the TCU head honchos are now patting themselves on the back in view of the Horned Frogs' unblemished record and #7 ranking. Sonny Dykes has a shot at the CFP in his first year. He has to get by Texas, Baylor and Iowa State, then win the Big 12 championship game.
