His college experience is relevant, but probably not compelling. If he gets an offer from the Raiders, it will be because they "know" him, not because of his credentials in the NFL. I would hope he would have the good sense to recognize the Raider's situation is so bad that he wouldn't take the job. I doubt the Raiders will throw money at him.(11-01-2023, 07:57 AM)cardcrimson Wrote: Ego over intelligence sometimes wins out. Well, that and vast sums of money. Sure, Shaw's set for life. But come on, if you get offered tens of millions to do a job you might just get lucky at ... you're taking it, right?

Harbaugh's won more than 75% of his games at Michigan. He's 79-25, and loser of seven of his eight bowl games. He was 44-19-1 at the 49ers, with a 5-3 postseason record and three consecutive NFC championship games.
I imagine he'd be very attractive to many NFL teams.

His record at Michigan is tainted. Anyone can win if they cheat. Harbaugh is a loser…..

IIRC they scouted likely bowl opponents and did have what they thought were TCU's signals for last year's bowl game, but the TCU staff had apparently been tipped off and changed their signals. That's rather sad. One would need to scout quite a few teams in late November as even with one or two weeks left in the season there are often dozens of possible opponents one could face in a bowl game. It would also require quite a few staffers to be willing to ignore the rules to "scout" all of those opponents.
