Harbaugh's won more than 75% of his games at Michigan. He's 79-25, and loser of seven of his eight bowl games. He was 44-19-1 at the 49ers, with a 5-3 postseason record and three consecutive NFC championship games.
I imagine he'd be very attractive to many NFL teams.

During the regular season JH can see the schedule months in advance and get the "gear" his staff will need to patrol various sidelines or press boxes during the season looking for future opponent intel.
However, for the bowl games you don't know your opponent until all the pre-bowl games are finished...so there was never a chance for staffers to do their thing.

Actually not true. IIRC they scouted likely bowl opponents and did have what they thought were TCU's signals for last year's bowl game, but the TCU staff had apparently been tipped off and changed their signals.

The UM filming all took place inside stadiums where literally thousands of people could be doing the exact same thing as alleged to have been done by this Stallions guy, just simply emailing their footage to who knows how many opposing coaches.
For me, this is the key part: Did the coaches being filmed on the sideline really behave like an opponent getting video of their in-game signals was an extremely remote possibility? I really, really think not. I believe that disguising signals is considered basic game management.
If UM was taping practice sessions, my opinion would change. But I still have yet to see anything that makes me think Harbaugh should be fired or Michigan forced to vacate wins. Suspend Harbaugh for somewhere between 4-6 games and be done with it. (And I would say the same thing no matter which school or coach was implicated in doing this sign stealing.)
