Texas lost the men's tennis finals to tcu. On brink of elimination in softball. They're probably losing too many of their projected points to catch us but we'll see.
Texas just tied it up. Never mind
Actually it will not really be close. Texas should win by something in the range of 50 to 150 points. Stanford needed a few miracles to match Texas' total.
Stanford baseball in the tournament, ideally getting to a Super Regional. Not going to happen.
Stanford softball in the WCWS with Texas losing in the Super Regional.
Texas M&W T&F significantly underperforming at the national meet. Unlikely.
Final should be something like
Texas 1400
Stanford 1300
Texas will likely have almost no points beyond the 19 sports that can used in their tally.
Texas will outscore Stanford in each of the 4 core sports.
And critically, Stanford will not have any points in 2 core sports on the men's side.
Texas can really open the gap by getting to the WCWS, the CWS and getting two top 5 finishes in T&F.
All of those upsides are possible, but none are really needed.
